Broca's Aphasia & Apraxia, traveling from the UK to the US for help - Pam's story

For six years after her stroke, Pam tried repeatedly to get aphasia therapy services in the UK. No matter how often she tried, she was ultimately told that there was nothing that they could do to help her.
Pam began researching other options and found The Aphasia Center. As an actor, Pam wanted to work on memorizing lines, reading lines, using cue cards and delivering lines as well as everyday communication skills.
Pam advises others with aphasia to get involved in choir or other activities to help themselves be more social. She finds there are a lot of people who can help, you may just have to find them.
